At Brand New Box, we’re drawn to projects that prioritize clarity, education, and real usefulness. Our partnership with Moment Wealth was a natural fit for exactly that reason.
Moment is a wealth management company that works with people who bet on themselves — professional athletes and entrepreneurs. Their philosophy is refreshingly straightforward: the more you know, the more empowered you are. Moment shares a significant amount of knowledge for free through their blog and YouTube content, with the genuine aim of helping people understand their finances well enough to manage things on their own.
And if someone decides they’d rather not do it alone, or wants expert support navigating complexity, Moment is there to help.
That mindset shaped every part of this project.
Moment is in the process of restructuring their website to better reflect their mission and clearly communicate the value they offer to potential clients. A key part of that strategy is shifting from a primarily informational website to a more interactive, value-driven experience.
Rather than asking visitors to read long explanations or self-diagnose whether they might need financial guidance, the goal was to:
This led to a central idea in the redesign: interactive tools as a primary way to engage users, not an afterthought.
BNB partnered with Moment to design and build their flagship interactive experience: the Financial Scorecard.
The scorecard allows users to answer a short series of clear, approachable questions to assess their current financial situation. Instead of overwhelming people with jargon, dense explanations, or complex calculations, the experience is designed to feel reflective, supportive, and easy to complete.
Users walk away with a clearer understanding of where they’re doing well, where there may be gaps or risks, and which areas deserve attention next. For some, the scorecard reinforces that they’re on track and don’t need additional help. For others, it highlights areas where professional guidance could be valuable.
In both cases, the tool delivers value first.
The Financial Scorecard consists of 18 questions, grouped into six core financial categories, with three questions per category.
To make the experience seamless and fast, every question uses the same Likert-scale format with consistent answer options. This reduces cognitive load and allows users to focus on their answers rather than learning new interaction patterns as they progress.
Rather than spreading the assessment across 18 individual screens, we intentionally display all three questions within a category on a single screen. This means users only move through six steps total, making the experience feel concise while still delivering meaningful depth.

A persistent pie chart visualization appears alongside the quiz throughout the entire experience, providing continuous visual feedback.
The final results screen brings everything together in a clear summary and includes an optional call to action for users who want to connect with Moment’s team for professional advice, without pressure or urgency.

Behind the scenes, the Financial Scorecard is supported by a flexible and intuitive admin interface, designed to grow with Moment’s needs.
Key capabilities include:
This flexibility ensures the scorecard isn’t a one-off feature, but a foundation Moment can continue building on.
This project reinforced something we strongly believe at BNB: the most effective digital experiences lead with value. By embedding education and self-assessment directly into the website, Moment isn’t just explaining what they do, they’re demonstrating it.
We’re excited to continue partnering with teams who see design not just as a visual layer, but as a way to build trust, clarity, and confidence from the very first interaction.
